Poorly insulated homes ought to be illegal. Poorly insulated homes are cheaper to build and buy, but cost the homeowner a great deal more in the long run due to higher heating costs. Unfortunately, builders and legislatures are trying to lessen energy requirements in a misguided effort to reduce costs.

This homeowner built his dream home in a secluded mountain valley using Eco-Panels, which create the strongest and most efficiently insulated homes on the planet, often faster with lower skilled labor. The interlocking modular building system can be adapted for the needs of the client AND the local environment.

The stones and mortar of fireplaces are poor thermal insulators. Homebuilders can build insulated fireplaces by running Eco-Panels wall panels through the fireplace… building the fireplace on both sides of the wall panels. Observers think that the wall ends at the fireplace, but it goes through and insulates from heat and cold outside.
