We are continuing to work on the EPIC Block product, and are currently in testing phase, with an eye toward limited commercial production by the end of 2023.

As anticipated, this product will not require the use of a skilled mason or mortar for assembly, rather will use industry standard concrete bonding adhesives and threaded rods with couplers for a compression fit with a top plate instead of rebar & grout. The initial expected use for the EPIC Block will be for one and two story buildings and later for below-grade foundation walls. It is intended to be set on a concrete footer or perimeter of slab just like a traditional CMU wall would require. The expected R value at an average annual temperature of 52degF would be R40. Cost information will be forthcoming but expected to be quite competitive with an ICF wall or poured and insulated concrete wall since no skilled labor or concrete trucks will be required for assembly above the footer.
